Tanya Tucker Live at Stage 271: November 14

The show

Tanya Tucker has been a country icon since "Delta Dawn" made her a teen star in 1972, and her late-career run has been just as strong, anchored by the Grammy-winning album "While I'm Livin'" and the documentary "The Return of Tanya Tucker." Her set is a hit parade built for the generations who grew up with her radio staples, delivered with the grit and humor that have kept her a live favorite for five decades.

Stage 271 is the newer, more intimate performance room at Choctaw Casino & Resort in Grant, Oklahoma, just off US 271 about 20 minutes north of the Texas line. From Paris, it is the closest marquee concert stage to the city, a short and simple drive up the four-lane.

What it means for Paris

Stage 271 and the Choctaw Grand Theater give Northeast Texas a genuine marquee touring circuit, and Paris sits at the southern edge of that draw. A show like Tanya Tucker is the kind of date that fills hotel rooms and restaurant tables on both sides of the border, a direct economic signal for the hospitality and service businesses that serve the Paris trade area. If you are driving up from Paris on the 14th, plan for casino parking and arriving early enough to clear the doors by 7:00 PM.
