Matt Rife: Stay Golden at Choctaw Grand Theater, September 25-26

About the show

Matt Rife's Stay Golden world tour has been one of the biggest comedy tours on the road, filling arenas and theaters across the country. The Choctaw Grand Theater stop gives the region a rare chance to see a headline comedian of his scale without a trip to Dallas or Oklahoma City.

The Grand Theater is the main entertainment venue at Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, Oklahoma, tucked just across the Red River county line an easy drive north of Paris. The resort's restaurants, hotel tower, and gaming floor make it easy to turn the evening into a full weekend stay, and both Friday and Saturday performances follow the same 8:00 PM start.

Getting there

The theater sits at the Choctaw Casino & Resort complex along US-69 in Durant, about an hour up the road from Paris with clear traffic. Doors open at 6:30 PM, so arriving early gives time to park, grab dinner at one of the resort's restaurants, and settle in before the 8:00 PM show. Locals can make a quick round trip on either night, or book a room on site and make a weekend of it.

Plan ahead

Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster and listed on the venue's official event page. Comedy tours of this size sell out the closer the date gets, and the Friday and Saturday double booking gives fans two chances to catch the show. The Choctaw calendar stays busy through the fall, so late September is a strong weekend for a marquee entertainment night close to home.
