Reno's Monster Mash Halloween Festival: October 24 in Reno, TX

About the festival

The Monster Mash is the City of Reno's family Halloween festival, staged at Kiwanis Park on Pine Mill Road just east of the main Paris growth corridor. The afternoon runs a trunk-or-treat trail with decorated vehicles handing out candy, a costume contest for the kids, bounce houses and games, and food trucks, all wrapped up by early evening so families are home before dark.

The event is organized by the City of Reno and listed in the Lamar County family-friendly Halloween roundup, which tracks the season's community calendar across the county. Admission is free and open to the public, with the park providing plenty of space for the bounce houses and trunk rows. Details and any day-of updates are carried on the city's social channels and the county events roundup.

Why it matters for the region

Events like the Monster Mash are part of the fabric that makes small towns around Paris attractive places to live and raise a family, a quality-of-life signal that matters for residential demand across Lamar County. They also keep local parks and community spaces active, supporting the civic infrastructure that underpins a healthy housing market. For investors and residents alike, the density of community events through the fall is a good read on how connected and engaged the county's towns remain.
