About the event
The City of Paris Public Works department organizes the Trunk or Treat as its annual Halloween outreach, with staff handing out candy and games while the city's trucks, utility vehicles, and heavy equipment sit out for kids to see up close. It is the city's flagship family Halloween event in the days before October 31, giving families a safe, early trick-or-treat option at the Sports Complex near the collegiate corridor of southern Paris.
Why it matters for Paris
Structured family events like this are part of the quality-of-life calendar that keeps Paris competitive as a regional hub. Community programming draws resident families into the city's parks and facilities, supports the sense of small-town trust that the area markets around, and keeps local spending local on a fall weekend. For anyone tracking what makes Paris livable for workforce housing and family investment, the city's events calendar is a useful signal of that energy.
