About the rally and festival
Now in its landmark 40th year, Autumn in Bonham is one of Texas's longest-running autumn bicycle rallies. Road riders choose from 30, 68, or 100-mile routes, gravel riders get 48 and 67-mile options, and the Vive le Bois d'Arc family fun route gives casual cyclists and kids a relaxed course. The ride is presented by the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce and feeds into a free downtown festival with DJ entertainment, family activities, and plenty of local shopping along the square.
The event was first held in 1986 and has grown into a regional tradition that brings riders from across North Texas and southern Oklahoma to Fannin County. Between the pre-dawn rollouts, the finish-line buzz on the square, and the daytime festival, it is a full small-town Saturday that showcases downtown Bonham at its best.
Why it matters for Paris
Autumn in Bonham is a 25-mile drive from the 1905 E Price St property and a useful barometer for the region's weekend tourism economy. Rally and festival weekends like this fill Fannin County hotels and restaurants, and they pair naturally with the cycling scene Paris already hosts through the Tour de Paris and the Hell of the North Texas. For commercial investors, the pattern of small-town events across Lamar and Fannin counties continues to reinforce the leisure and hospitality demand that supports retail and lodging in the wider market.
