Big Brand Tire & Service Poker Run for CASA for Kids: October 10

About the run

A poker run is a classic charity ride format: participants draw a playing card at each stop along the route, and the best poker hand at the end takes the prize. Big Brand Tire & Service's Poker Run For A Purpose is open to motorcycles, jeeps, and cars, widening the field beyond the usual bike crowd and giving the Paris community a Saturday drive with a cause attached.

Proceeds benefit CASA for Kids of Paris, the local Court Appointed Special Advocates program that trains volunteers to advocate for children in the foster care system. The event was announced in late September, and as of this writing the start time, route, and entry fee had not yet been published; the MyParisTexas announcement is the best source for updates as the date approaches.

Why it matters for Paris

Charity rides are a fixture of the Northeast Texas community calendar, and they pull participants from across the region into Paris for the day, stopping for fuel, food, and shopping along the way. For local businesses, that is measurable Saturday traffic. For the market overall, an active charity and community calendar is part of the quality-of-life story that keeps Paris competitive for families and employers alike.
