Paris ISD and Paris Junior College Secure $660K+ in Workforce Training Grants

The Texas Workforce Commission awarded Jobs and Education for Texans (JET) grants totaling more than $660,000 to educational institutions in Paris, Texas in 2025, funding career and technical education programs that train local students for high-demand occupations. The grants were awarded as part of a statewide initiative announced by Governor Greg Abbott, distributing over $14 million in JET grants across Texas.

Paris ISD received $328,894 to train 175 students as licensed practical and vocational nurses through a partnership with Paris Junior College.
